HIGH SCHOOL ART HISTORY; Traveling the 20th Century Art & Artists Timeline

Look closely and think critically. There is so much to see! Each week we will meet a new artist as we travel the historical timeline of the 20th century. Students will learn to unpack the imagery of work from some of the world’s most reclusive and outspoken (and those in between) artists, while we expand our critical thinking, observation and dialog skills. Students gain a better understanding and appreciation of the creative process while they find each piece in its historical context.

From day one, we will begin building our creative Art History timeline. This is an art piece that will be a lifelong art treasure in your family library. It grows weekly with your student, so absences are granted one make-up check-in per month to prevent gaps in the timeline.

This class is open to all high school students on a monthly basis, if space allows. Priority registration goes to Ocean Grove students who are seeking high school credit in Visual Arts.
