Weekly Class Registration Information

We've updated our registration platform to Sawyer!

​

Use the filters on our registration page to view classes available by age and more. When you select a class, you'll be prompted to create an account. Your registration is for the semester (January-May). The first month's payment and $35 semester materials fee are due at the time of registration. Monthly tuition will be auto-billed to the card of your choice on the 1st of each month. 30-day notice is required for cancellation during the semester. Review your payments at any time through your Sawyer account.

Class Descriptions

All Ages Ceramics Club

Get your hands dirty and make something amazing in our all-ages Ceramics Club. This relaxed, welcoming club focuses on hand-building with clay through guided projects that are adapted to the ages and experience levels of the group. Participants will explore form, texture, and creative ideas while working at their own pace. Perfect for kids, teens, and adults who want to create, experiment, and enjoy time in the studio together.

Animal Art

Roar, hop, slither, and soar into creativity! In Animal Art, young artists explore a variety of materials including ceramics, drawing, painting, collage, and more while bringing their favorite animals to life. Each project is designed to spark imagination, build skills, and let kids experiment with different ways to express their ideas. This class is perfect for little makers who love art, animals, and hands-on fun.

Art and Science

This hands-on class blends art and science in a fun, relaxed learning environment designed especially for homeschoolers. Students explore biology-based topics such as plants, animals, insects, fish, and the human body through observation, discussion, and creative art projects. By drawing, painting, building, and experimenting with materials, children naturally deepen their focus, strengthen visual perception, and connect scientific ideas to creative expression.

Cartooning

This class introduces young artists to the fundamentals of cartoon art. Students will practice creating expressive faces, dynamic poses, and fun speech bubbles while learning the basics of comic strip storytelling. This class is perfect for young artists who love cartoons and want to bring their own characters and stories to life.

Ceramics (5-7)

In this hands-on ceramics class, young children will discover how to roll, pinch, and shape clay using real hand-building techniques. Students build fine motor skills as they experiment with texture, form, and creative ideas while making charming ceramic pieces.

Ceramics (mixed ages)

Students will get their hands messy and creative in this hand-building ceramics class. Using clay, they will learn essential techniques while experimenting with texture, shape, and personal ideas. Projects are designed to challenge a range of ages and skill levels, making this class welcoming for beginners and returning clay artists alike.

Ceramics (11-17)

Get ready to shape, sculpt, and create in this ceramics class designed for teens and tweens. Students will experiment with hand-building techniques to bring imaginative ideas to life, exploring texture, form, and design along the way. From bold sculptural pieces to creative functional projects, this class is perfect for makers who love to push their artistic boundaries.

Ceramics (A-G credit eligible)

This ceramics class gives high school students the opportunity to earn high school Visual Arts credit while developing strong technical and creative skills in hand-built ceramics. Students will explore form, function, and surface design through a series of structured projects using a variety of ceramic techniques while developing their artistic voice.

 

Students can choose to take the class for A–G Visual Arts credit, or simply enjoy creating in a supportive, engaging studio environment. Projects, presentations, and teacher feedback provide an academically enriching experience, while still keeping the focus on creativity and personal expression.

Character Design

In this class, students dive into the art of creating memorable characters, exploring how shapes, proportions, and facial expressions bring personalities to life. Drawing inspiration from graphic novels, film, games, and real-world references, teens learn to design unique characters while developing skills in storytelling, emotion, and visual expression. This class goes beyond illustration to focus on building characters from the ground up.

Drawing, Painting, and More! 

This playful studio art class introduces young artists to a variety of materials and techniques. Students will explore drawing and painting while also experimenting with other creative media through guided projects. With an emphasis on process, creativity, and fun, children build confidence, fine motor skills, and a love of making art.

Fiber Arts

Get creative with yarn, thread, and fabric in this hands-on Fiber Arts class. Students will experiment with needle felting, embroidery, hand sewing, weaving, and other fun textile projects. Each class encourages self-expression, exploration, and skill-building as students turn fibers into colorful, textured, and one-of-a-kind creations. Perfect for makers who love to craft, design, and bring their ideas to life with their hands.

Hand Sewing and Embroidery

Get creative with fabric, thread, and imagination in this textile art class. Students will explore hand sewing and embroidery through fun, inventive projects that let them experiment with texture, color, and design. From taking apart and reimagining previously loved items to creating one-of-a-kind pieces, this class is perfect for makers who love to craft, invent, and bring their ideas to life.

Lunchtime Knitting and Crochet Club

This relaxed, all-ages club is a welcoming space to learn, practice, and enjoy knitting and crochet together. Beginners will learn basic stitches and techniques, while more experienced makers can work on personal projects with guidance and support. Projects and instruction are thoughtfully adapted to the ages and skill levels of the group, making this a cozy, creative environment for everyone who loves working with yarn.

​Monday Night Craft Club

Unwind, create, and craft together at our Monday Night Craft Club. Each week features a hands-on craft designed to work for a wide range of ages and skill levels. Projects are thoughtfully adapted to the students in attendance, so everyone can participate, explore materials, and create something uniquely their own. Expect a mix of playful, creative materials, relaxed guidance, and lots of room for imagination.

Observational Drawing

This class focuses on drawing from observation to build strong foundational skills and realistic representation. Students will practice seeing carefully and translating what they observe onto paper through studies of proportion, value, texture, and form. Working from real objects, references, and life studies, students develop accuracy, confidence, and a deeper understanding of how drawing works. This class is ideal for artists who want to strengthen technique and improve realism.

Designed for returning students or those with 2+ years of prior art experience, this class focuses on developing technique and exploring a variety of studio art media. Students will work with watercolors, acrylic paint, mixed media, and even science illustration, building skills while expressing their own creative ideas. Each project challenges students to grow as artists and experiment with new approaches in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Teeny Tiny Art Lab

Step into a world where everything is teeny-tiny! In this whimsical art class, kids become miniature makers as they create mini dioramas, little landscapes, itty-bitty characters, and other adorable micro masterpieces. Each session introduces a fun new project that challenges students to think small, notice details, and express their creativity in miniature form. Perfect for young artists who love crafting, tinkering, and making cute little things to treasure or display!
