About the event
Thank you for your class registration. Classes begin the week of August 21, 2023.
We look forward to seeing you. All materials will be provided for your student in the studio.
In this class, we explore the wonderful world of visual storytelling through a variety of stylized character art. We draw inspiration from popular comics, film, tv and games, as well as real-world photographic references. Students learn how to design original characters and interesting scenes using artistic principles such as shape, scale, color and contrast. All experience levels are welcome, and an active imagination is highly encouraged.
As students grow, they may enter Character Illustration when age appropriate.
Materials: Your student will be provided with their personal studio kit which is stored in the studio. We strive to minimize shared materials to support the health of our studio community.

Reg: Thurs. Comics for Kids
Required for each weekly class your student attends. This fee is not covered by Ocean Grove Funds. This fee occurs once per school year. It includes student onboarding, administration and student materials. *Please note: Ceramics students will have a supplemental materials fee of $35 after the new year.
